The PubSince January 2018 The Black Boy Wyre Hill has been a privately owned, family run free house.
It is a traditional community free house with a warm welcome for all visitors and is the oldest pub in Bewdley. A timber framed building dating from 1466, now sitting in a quiet and picturesque area, with views over the town and the Clent Hills in the distance. Historically however, Wyre Hill was once the only road into and out of town heading west towards Cleobury, Ludlow and beyond. It is also the route into Bewdley from the Wyre Forest, so the route for all the timber for house construction plus other woodland trades such as charcoal burning by wood colliers. |
